Greetings crafty friends,

Been really lazy to craft lately... but I need to get back on it soon, just restocked my crafty supplies from Singapore. Woohooo! So I should make the time to play with it.

Anyways one of my husband's client just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, and so it was time to create something. I've been wanting to create a pinwheel card for some time now....so here it is. Nothing fancy, just some older papers from my stash.

Hello Crafters,

Today I wont be sharing any crafty updates but a music video. You know im a sucker for Malaysian Artist, they always have my full support.

But this artist is special, she hails from Penang, is a CPTarian, and we share beautiful highschool memories. Although I've lost touch with her for a bout 6 years already, but Facebook keeps us connected and I must say very updated too. LOL!

She has been climbing upwards all these years, starting with ASIA BAGUS...I still remember her performing in school @15 to 'Bagaikan Puteri' in a white long dress....and at 16, she recorded KOPITIAM's Opening Song, and the list goes on and on with our local movie industry (Realiti, Salon, Papadom)......

Congratulations Dear Chelsia.

You truly make us Malaysians proud.

Good Morning Crafters,

More layering today. Its pretty fun to dig in my stash to see what I can layer....sadly I dont have much embellishments, but it still worked. Hmmmm, just thinking out aloud, does that mean I can buy more embellishments?? (shhhhh, pls dont let Aaron hear that!! *winks*)

Scrapbookers & Crafters are such hoarders. We can never have enough of anything, before we can start using on the items bought, we start eyeing what to buy next...LOL gosh, what a disaster........but its so difficult to resist......i know, i know....i feel u...

I hoarded too many of Emma Shoppe's paper........after so many projects, I still have quite a fair bit. LOL. I wanted a girly girl card with pink tones.

Dearest Friends,

Gosh, time seriously flies. Everytime I tell myself, I'll blog tomorrow, and tomorrow comes and I'll say the same thing....and its been 2 months. Crazy crazy.

Since 2011 started, there has been a lot of adapting to the many changes that happened. I know everything happens for a reason and it allows me to T R U S T God even more. Day by day, His mercies are new & His grace is sufficient for me! 7 months have gone by, and when I start penning down all the good things that came out of a bad situation, I'm blessed! Truly He holds to His promise...."Everything happens for the good for those who Trust in Him".

Lately I've lost some of my crafting mojo, not too sure why...but I know i'll get it back somehow. So I forced myself to sit on my messy desk and try to craft something. I told myself, just something simple...well it took me about an hour to create this card.

I know some of my crafty girls are going thru some readjusting at the moment, maybe some rough patch, So I wanted to send this card to them...

I want you to know, I'm always here for you.

SIL Anniversary Blog Hop Challenge no.6

Good Morning,

Started my Monday morning with 2 eggs, 2 sausages and 2 slices of bread. Big breakfast!! Yeay, thats my monday staple. Its so scarry how the weekend passes by so quickly.

Anyways, this year I missed out 5 of SIL's anniversary challenges....April has been a super crazy month. The last challenge was simply perfect.

So here is my take SIL..... wishing you a Blessed Anniversary & a big thankyou for your support in the M'sian scrapping community. May you have plenty more years to come!!

Instead of a normal circle punch, I used a 1 1/2 inch scallop punch to give it that extra touch on the petals. So love how it turned out.

my dearest Family. Celebrating my gramps' Diamond Anniversary.

They are the cutest couple ever & I heart them to bits. Everybody took time off to be back in KL, and spent the most magical week. We had a relatively simple do at home, 4 tables to be exact and Aaron and I sang a song for them. Lots of laughter and lots of memories made.

I gifted them a shadow box. A lovely picture taken at my wedding.

Seriously, arent they the cutest?

By their example, we are a family forever!

60 years of Blessings and Many more....

P/S: If i live to celebrate my Diamond Anniversary, I would be 80+

(Just a random thought. LOL!)

Come on, lets do the happy dance together.

Its April 1st, another month has gone by and we're entering to 2nd quarter of the year. March has been a very challenging month for me, it is ONLY by the grace of God that I'm alive and kicking.

Highlights:

- Knowing that He is with me every step of the way

- Reaping the fruit of being obedient

- Shop, shop & shop @ Smidapaper (Stella & Rose, Emma Shop & Potrait Collection - I love you all)

- Completed my taxes and they will be refunding me RM200! Aint it great?!!

- Business for altered frames & cards...Praise God (Those that ordered, thank you for blessing me!)

- Being reminded that I'm so blessed to have Godly parents with sound advices.

- Being thankful for my dear Sister (Carmelita), you are a true pearl to me, just being there, showering me with a lot of care and concerns. I am blessed!

Lowlights:

- Big blow again on 24th March, the night that started my palpitation for a whole week. It was the night that marked the journey of 'learning how to be gracious to others'. And a new journey is birth.......completely trusting on His will.

- Felt betrayed, completely let down & so broken. Good news is, im coming out of it, stronger than before.

Anyways I made a card last night using Emma Shop. I was so happy to have the mood to craft again. Awesomeness!! Thank you Cindy for passing some mojo.

Good Morning crafty friends,

I came to work 1/2 hour earlier than my usual time, both aaron and I carpooled together. Feels kinda good to be in early on a Monday Morning.......Yes, that means I had to forgo an additional 1/2 hour sleep. I shall not start ranting on how much sleep means to me.....lol.

Manage to restock some scrapbook goodies last sat, gorgeous yummylicious things to haul. I so want everything in Smidapaper. Sheila brings in the prettiest things.....ahhhhhh.

Before I stock up, went for breakie with hubss. Lorong Seratus for curry mee with extra "tau pok" (Soya skin). Look at the bowl of chilli....mmmmmmm.

Its friday tomorrow and I'm happy....lalalal la la la...

I had a relaxing night to myself. Came home, prayed, napped, watch TV, cooked pasta, chatted with daddy a lil bit, then its off to my craft room. Then hubs came back close to 10pm, spend some time with him, then its off to the room at 11pm, cuddling up in my comforter surfing the net.....by the time I realized, it was close to 1am....*yawn* time for bed missy.........

What a crazy busy week. Too many deadlines in a week.....Phew~ I can now finally breathe a lil..
Have not been creating for the pass 1 week, it just feels like forever................Oh dear, I'm really hooked, arent I? hahaha. Aaron and I manage to go for a movie date this week, we watched "Black Swan".....I must say I didnt quite particularly enjoy the movie...it was kinda eccentric. Being a dancer, I was expecting more choreography.

In a few hours, it is goodbye to February and hello March.
So thankful to have only 28days as we've ran out of 'moolah'

1. Celebrated our romantic evening in a Coffee shop. It was such a great evening.
2. Aaron took 3 hours to make me a lovely card.
3. Took a 45 minutes walk exploring our neighbourhood, sat on the swing & chatted
4. Took Aaron's niece (lil desirae) to the park & watch her run, sing, catch butterflies & have kiddies talk. [Double Smile]

Lowlights::
1. Giving out Ang pows during CNY. I feel the pinch alright.
2. Getting frustrated with my scrap space.
3. Missing mummy & daddy
4. Desperately in need of a holiday

Hello All!! How are you doing?

Its a slow going week with a lot of things to do. Like how is that even possible right? Well the "lots of things to do" is not reall in my list of liking. Sigh~~

I manage to clean my scrap space again. Btw, I reorganize them every few months, moving things around. In the pass 1 year, i've tried 4-5 different layouts already. LOL!

It was low key.

Living with the man you love, we celebrate love almost everyday. (=

Of all days I was craving for Lamb chops, and not just any lambchops....but this particular one.

Ooooo, it just melts in your mouth.....mmmmm. This chops is found in a 'kopitiam' @ penang road. MmmmMmmmmMmmm..... So thats where our Valentines meal was...in a kopitiam. LOL!

Altered Challenge by Smidapaper

Here's my take for the altered challenge. *Drum Roll* pls.....

Its my very own valentine coffee sleeves. Double Yeay!

I wanted it to be eye catchy and happy colors. And those super cute, fun polka dots paper (OA) just made it come true.

Btw, both the sleeves are heavily mod-podged. Did I ever mentioned, i love the smell? *winks*

YAWNNNNNN.......

What a sleepy day, work load is building but I'm still in holiday mood. Howssss??

I can finally say, this is my completed LO. I moved things around, changed some embellishments till satisfied. I'm quite loving the pastel colors with the rich brown.

This was my before LO. From the crop....as you can see I tore out all the flowers.

Learned how to layer this butterfly in Smidapaper's card class & I'm mildly obsessed with it.
'Much Love' tag is sold in smidapaper, you get to pick 3 pieces for only RM1. I store some of them in my drawer, its a quick go-to to fill up the page.

'Simply Beautiful'

If you're wondering if I bought this die, the answer is "How I Wish!!" I don't own any die cutting machine either. I got this negative from the card class and kept it to trace more butterflies. Just being very cautious with spending.....takes a bit more time but works like a gem.

And I pop the butterfly up with foam, just to give it that extra booze.

Negative punchouts, I'm in love with you!! Shhhhh, dont tell Aaron!

I remember when I was a child, I couldn't wait for the days to pass by......I couldn't wait to grow up, I couldn't wait to step into the real world, I couldn't wait to break free from Mummy & Daddy's protective love........but today that very same girl prays that her days will not go by so quickly & sometimes wishes she could run back to her mummy n daddy and just be their baby girl....and Freeze the moment.

It is no coincidence that my word for 2011 is TRUST. I sometimes forget that I'm not superwoman, just an ordinary girl with an extraordinary calling. Who doesnt love Brown, pink & green? Its the combination that makes me go 'ahhhhhhh'.

Painted the chipboard 'ballet pink' and adhered yesterday's left over paper which has the word Sweet on it. Distressed with a little bit of tea dye, stuck on some thickers, stapled the up-cycled sentiment and vohla........a completed card within 30 mins.

I'm loving how simple it looks. Nothing fancy, just pretty papers.

It is definitely a whole lot easier to craft when the paper is pretty & we let the paper speak by itself. Thats how I feel with this "Sweetness by Pink Paislee" collection.

I shared this 6x6 paper pack with Josie & Cindy. And the chipboard frame is from Maya road (all available @ Smidapaper)

I love it that the paper had "Love Notes" printed on, and I thought it would be cute to make a postage heart (Autumn leaves stamp). So there, a simple card.....

..Reorganize my frequently used laces and trims.

I found out that storing them in jars dont work for me. Since I saw this container laying around empty, what not give it a try?

Not too bad eh? Soon enough, as my collection grows I may use one container per color? Anyways, let me try this out first, things always look pretty when I first organize but give it 2 weeks tops, it may be topsy turvy again. LOL

I love the pretty colors though.

....and I cooked. Brinjal (some called it aubergine) with minced meat.

Aaron loves a one dish meal, placed on top of his rice with fried egg. I know the pic looks kinda scary but it tasted pretty yummy. I also prepared the traditional ABC soup to go with this. All I know is, hubby's face lit up after he finished his meal....and that makes me a happy wife. (=

I thought this paper was perfect for the flower theme. I cut the silhouette of the purple flower and leaves, and slit my picture in between.

Cant get enough of Making Memories Kraft Stickers. So easy to use.

Used an appliquéd yellow flower to frame my picture. What a good way to tie off the yellow.

This Sunday, Aaron & I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary.

It has been an interesting year. I can barely belief that we've been married for a year, and sometimes I can barely belief that "Im married".

2010 has been a year of adjustments. There were many high moments and also down moments.

Loving somebody in good times and in bad times, till death do us part......is by far the most challenging vow, it is sometimes a make or break point.

Hence why scripture says "a threefold cord is not quickly broken". He is the glue in our relationship, and He is always there, come Rain or Shine. Thank you dear God.

To my dearest Aaron, my love for you has grown even more.

2011 is our year to Arise & Shine for our Light has come and His glory is upon us.

I had the night to myself as aaron went for his meeting. Heres what I did...

1. I kept the dry clothes

2. Folded like 2 weeks worth of clothes while watching ANTM cycle 14, some UK dance show & Guiliana& Bill

3. Did another load of laundry

4. Hung the wet clothes

5. Went in to my craft room to prepare for my december daily mini album. Yeay! I finally started.

Then aaron came back from meeting and bought me this, he's a sweetheart.

Smidapaper is hosting a challenge on Pink Masculine Card. Yea I know....."PINK???"" But I decided to take up this challenge. I had quite a tough time figuring out the papers but when I received my Studio Calico kit, i was drawn to this pink woodgrain (My Mind's Eye), it was somewhat masculine.

So no laces, pearls and doilies, just a simple card with some office supplies. (=

September - The start of wedding season

6 weddings in 7 weeks (back to back). Is that insane or what?

I guess I'm at that phase in life.....that marriage phase. Pretty soon it'll be the baby phase - school phase - college phase - children getting married phase - grandchildren......and the cycle continues. I realized that time flew by so fast, so much so that my mind cant register I'm already at the next phase.

I have come to learn that 'worrying' is a waste of time. I know that we ladies tend to worry at very single thing, to the point where we forget to savor the moment. Worrying makes us lose focus on what we're suppose to do. And what does worrying do?? It causes anxiety & stress which will lead to destruction of our bodies.....and eventually every beautiful moment just passes u by.....like a stranger.

So today, I have a challenge for you. Savor your day, be thankful & one day at a time is what it takes to keep the doctor away. *Cheers ladies*

Drool, Drool, Drool!!

A colleague of mine, Stephanie, gave me this lovely crochet flowers and gorgeous appliqué. She left them at my desk this morning, isn't she a sweetheart ?Thank you, thank you!! Gosh I LOVE everything!! Cant wait to use them.......but again, aren't they too pretty to use? I could stare at them all day...(=

I wont be crafting for the next days because the book shelves in my scraproom is infested with white ants. Gosh, i get goose bumps just thinking bout them....geli!! We had to throw 2 rows of books away....it was devastating.....and it was the first time in my life witnessing this disgusting sight....horrid creatures munching away on the books. IT was a fiesta for them and horror for me. Anyways, Aaron already treated their nest with poison. As cruel as I may sound, I pray that they bring the poison back to the queen and KILL the whole colony....and never to surface again.

On a happier note, I can stare at the gorgeous flowers!! Btw, I am thankful that the ants did not attack my scrap space. My patterned papers would have been delicious for them....LOL!

Travelling Journal

I've seen a lot of crafters who scrap about their travels.....and I've been wanting to do so, but every time when I get back from a holiday, it seems that I get busier than before.....needless to say I wont be documenting anything from the holiday.

So this time, I decided to prep myself before the trip. I have a plain notebook (i decorated the front), which i will stick ephemera's, pictures and write lots of journaling when I'm on my trip. That way I will not forget anything and for once maybe complete it. LOL!

One incredible product for giving dimension. This should be a staple for scrapbookers/cardmakers. And, and you get a whole lot of value for your money. Isn't that awesome? Very strong adhesive and the foam doesn't sink.

Anyways my scrapbook girlfriend, Cindy did a product review for Smidapaper, and Sheila is selling it for a very reasonable price (pssst, cheaper than some of the local scrapbook stores....dont tell them I told you....*winks*)

Scrap-It-Lah August Challenge

It seems like forever since I made any LOs. Last night, while my husband was attending his class, I finally scrapbooked.....I was happy. (=

This months challenge was to complete the title "I now know..."

Although my title may seem hilarious but jokes aside, my mom truly spoiled us. Now after having a place of my own, I now realized how much I took my mom for granted....and she is not getting any younger. If I could only turn back the clock and help her out.....

Here's what I made..

- Handmade embellishment, from lace

- Misted paper doily pink and white glimmer mist

- Hand-cut the ladies out from Cosmo Cricket Material girl collection,glossy accent one of the ladies and foam raised it.

Made another simple card last night. Trying to use up all my October Afternoon papers so that they dont go out of style.

Not really sure if I like the look of this card....I think there is too much black, but I do adore those owls, oh well I'm a sucker for owls and everything cute.

And if you're wondering why do I have so many cards with Apron Lace border???...that is because it belongs to Cindy and I would need to return soon.....how sad, I WANT one!!!!......but all the stores I know are sold out.

How has your week been?? Its mid-week already, yeay!!

And I'm adjusting to my new team pretty well, although I miss my old colleagues but this current team has very friendly people. Praise God!!

I will be super duper busy this weekend involved in a open Rally, so I manage to squeeze in some time to craft before weekend comes.

What a fun challenge from embellish magazine. I love this color combo, as you all can tell by now that Brown is my favorite color this year..woohoo!

4th day at my new Department and I'm doing good. In fact very well......although I need to learn new things, new processes, new programs but its manageable. Praise God!

I've been a little bit more exhausted this week...sleeping late and waking up EARLY. I'm not too much of a morning person...but its been good.

A new beginning.....

....in my career. Officially I've moved to a different department. After 6 years (totally in disbelief) in the same job routine, today I'm breaking out. A new day, a new dawn!!

I made this last night, inspired by Girl's Paperie paper. So sweet and pretty right? I'm telling you my favorite color for 2010 is definitely brown. It gels so so well with other colors, its amazing. Butterfly is cut from Cindy's PTI die (it is drooling cute!), thanks girlfriend.

For a friend who will be leaving abroad for studies. Perfect sentiment!!

Used mostly masculine colors because it is for a guy. Scallop borders was inspired by Cindy's Card making Class. Tq girlfriend for the wonderful idea!

See the distressed look on the cloud? Honestly it was a mistake, the stamp was placed upside down and I didn't even realize it until it was stamped. Looks kinda neat right? Almost a grungy feel to it....matches the masculine feel. Yeay!!

I think this will be my last card using this stamp set. Will be passing it to Josie then it will going back to Cindy (the owner). It is hard to part, maybe I should get myself one......hmmmm

I was so excited to head home after work yesterday to put my ideas to work. Within 40 mins I finished the entire card. Aint that awesome?

When Mr. Mojo knocks on your door, we better not passed it by. Am kinda happy how this card turned out. *BIG gigantic smile*

And of coz I got my Scarlet Lime Frugal Kit from Cindy yesterday....and the excitement just piled on!!! *Double happiness* All in all, it had been a good crafting week.

Ooooo Lala! We were like small girls in a candy store. Lovely findings for only a fraction of the price. See that tracing wheel?? It is highly recommended by Cindy, as a must have tool for now! I bought one to try it out and the results are amazing. You can see in my next post I used the wheel.

I joined in this card sketch by 2S4U and I must say I enjoyed making it so much. During my drive back from work, so many ideas were popping in my mind and I was excited to cut the papers up....but unfortunately, I had a string of programs after work.

I was determined to participate in this challenge so I started making this card at 12.30am and finished close to 2am.
